I currently teach Natural Birth Weekend Workshops with Baby Steps every other month at my home in Douglasville. Baby Steps offers several types of classes to fit your busy schedule and in locations all over the metro Atlanta area. Why is taking a childbirth class important?
We all can learn facts from reading books. Books are a powerful tool for educating ourselves! Classes take the knowledge that you already have from your own experiences, reading and research, then expand on it by offering a more in depth look at birth in our culture. Providing interactive ways to reinforce your knowledge and ideas on how to actually use information to your best benefit during your pregnancy, birth or postpartum.
Classes foster a sense of community by bringing you together with other expectant families that share similar goals. It can be refreshing in today's world, where wanting to give birth naturally is usually viewed as an oddity. They build friendships. They build resources. They build insight.

Workshops
Natural Birth Weekend Workshop
This 2-day intensive workshop is perfect for moms and partners who would like a natural birth. Spend two full days immersed in birth knowledge, practice, and preparation! This workshop is about tuning into your instictive wisdom, reframing your perceptions and releasing your fears. This class will prepare you and your partner for labor and birth by providing you with the tools and information you need to start down the path to a safe, comfortable, natural birth experience.
The cost of this class is $375 per couple.

The days are long, but I will do my best to make sure you don't notice it! Spending your weekend with me, you can expect the atmosphere to be fun and laid-back. Weekend workshops have hour long "open discussion" lunches that are potluck. Bring a dish to share, dress comfy, bring a blankie and expect lots of good conversation!
Since these are held in my home, you can also expect to get to know my family some too. ;)
